Motorcycle goggles are an important part of enjoying your riding. They protect against UV rays, keep out the cold, wind and drafts and protect against airborne objects. Goggles that fog up can be a safety hazard whilst other priorities include optical clarity, contrast on flat-light days and of course style. Double lenses and vented frames help to reduce fogging.
Grey lenses are great for bright sunshine days whereas brown, amber and copper lenses improve both contrast and depth perception whilst reducing glare. These are a good all-around choice if you expect changeable weather conditions. They provide high contrast by filtering out blue light which makes focusing difficult. Blue light is commonly found in diffused light on cloudy days. Yellow lenses are great for flat light or dull conditions. Clear lenses should be used for darker conditions or night time riding.
