| Multi-Layered Revo Mirror Sunglasses - Developed By NASA |
 |
| Revo lenses for sunglasses were developed by a NASA optical engineer (Mitch Ruda in 1985) who designed special coatings for lenses and portholes in defense system satellites. The goal was to protect the precision lenses and optics from the sun's harsh rays in outer space. He came up with the idea of applying the multi-layer thin film titanium coatings to his own sunglasses and thus REVOlutionised the sunglasses industry. Revo lenses maximise visible light, reduce infra-red and reflected ultraviolet rays and reduce glare whilst looking extremely cool into the bargain. They are usually available in orange or blue variations and give off a multi-coloured rainbow mirror effect which varies depenidng on the sunlight, the wearer sees a standard smoke lens. |
